Caramel Apple Dip

None of these pictures looked great, but is still yummy and quick! Better than what you can buy at the store.
1 (14 oz) bag of caramels
1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 T sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped dry roasted nuts (optional)
5 apples, cored and sliced

Gradually melt caramels in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until soft. Be careful not to burn! Stir in the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and nuts. Dip apple slices into caramel. (I always toss my apples with lemon juice to keep them from browning) This can be used as an ice cream topping as well.
